Simply split a vanilla bean lengthwise, scrape out the seeds, and simmer them in a pot of sugar and water until fragrant. Use this syrup to sweeten your latte and add a touch of elegance.

    • 1 vanilla bean, split lengthwise and seeds scraped

    • 1 cup granulated sugar

    • 1 cup water

  • Strong brewed espresso

  • Steamed milk

  1. Make the Vanilla Bean Syrup:

    • In a small saucepan, combine the vanilla bean seeds, sugar, and water.

    • Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the sugar has dissolved and the syrup is fragrant.

    • Remove from heat and let cool completely. Strain the syrup to remove the vanilla bean.


  2. Prepare the Latte:

    • Pull a shot of espresso into a mug.

    • Steam the milk to your desired temperature and frothiness.

    • Pour the steamed milk over the espresso.

    • Drizzle the vanilla bean syrup over the top of the latte.
