How to Make It


Start with a protein-enriched dough:

  • 2 cups whole wheat flour

  • 1/2 cup protein powder (vanilla or unflavored)

  • 1 tbsp instant coffee powder

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk

  • 1/4 cup melted butter

  • 1 tbsp honey

  • 1 packet active dry yeast

Preparation

Instructions:


  1. In a small bowl, mix warm almond milk, honey, and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.

  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, protein powder, coffee powder, and salt.

  3. Add the yeast mixture and melted butter to the dry ingredients and knead into a soft dough.

  4. Cover and let the dough rise for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

  5. Roll out the dough, fold it into layers, and chill for 30 minutes.

  6. Roll and cut into croissant shapes, then place on a baking tray.

  7. Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.

  8. Let cool slightly and enjoy your protein-packed croissant!
